Willum Warrain Bush Nursery & private garden in Balnarring

Willum Warrain Bush Nursery and an exclusive tour of a beautiful and diverse private garden in Balnarring.

Willum Warrain is a 100% Aboriginal community-owned bush nursery specialising in local indigenous plants from the Mornington Peninsula. Many of the plants for sale have cultural uses and meanings for Aboriginal peoples in southeast Australia.

It is the only Aboriginal-run retail and wholesale nursery south of Melbourne open to the public. Please join us for a walk and talk with Felicia (the nursery manager) and for morning tea.

And yes, there will be time to buy plants.

From the nursery we will head to Balnarring (10 min drive) for a tour of a wonderful private garden. The property has a wetland, extensive mature trees, a perennial garden, vegetable and herb garden beds, croquet lawn as well as interesting native plantings. The latest addition has been an experimental small native meadow with plants from Willum Warrain.
