Our first event of the year, Reconnect Brunch at Bay Road Cafe, was a wonderful way to begin 2026 – and it was lovely to see so many familiar and new faces gathered together.
Set in the leafy surrounds of Sandringham, Bay Road Cafe provided the perfect backdrop for a relaxed and welcoming morning. Known for its fresh, seasonal menu and warm atmosphere, the café offered a space where conversation flowed easily over coffee and brunch. The light-filled setting and greenery created a calm, inviting environment – ideal for reconnecting and building new connections within our community.
A big welcome to all our first-time attendees – we hope you felt embraced and inspired. Our events are open to all women working in, or interested in, horticulture and gardening, as well as related fields such as landscape design, landscaping, media and plant nurseries. It’s this diversity that makes our gatherings so enriching, bringing together a shared passion for plants in all its forms.
There was a genuine sense of energy and enthusiasm in the room, with conversations ranging from garden projects and plant favourites to professional journeys and future collaborations. Events like these remind us of the importance of connection – not only to plants and landscapes, but to each other.
