Fitzroy Gardens Redevelopment, April 2015

On Thursday, April 30, a group of members and friends undertook a ‘behind the scenes’ guided tour of the redevelopment of the works area of Melbourne’s famed Fitzroy Gardens.

The former maintenance and works area has undergone a major transformation and now includes a very large underground water tank and a natural filtration wetlands above, to ‘catch’, cleanse and utilise runoff from this large expanse of parkland on the fringe of the city.

After the tour, the women enjoyed lunch in the new onsite cafe.

Thanks to Rosemary Ulph for organising event and taking the photos.
