We could not have asked for better weather for our tours of Sunnymeade and Roraima Nursery this past weekend. We started the day in Anglesea where Peter and Simone Shaw of Ocean Road Landscaping opened their garden and home to attendees. We wandered the garden identifying plants, chatting and wondering at the whimsy that Sunnymeade has to offer. We then had morning tea and Peter spoke to the process of growing such a beautiful and functional space.
Next, we went to Roraima Nursery where Lyle Filippe told attendees his horticultural journey, from collector to nursery owner. A comment that rang true with many was the idea of selling plants to buy more plants! We roamed about the display gardens and delighted in buying new plants to take home.
