EWHA members enjoyed a fascinating behind-the-scenes visit to Collectors Corner Rare Plant Nursery in Braeside, Victoria, where we explored some of the more specialised corners of the plant world, including bonsai, carnivorous plants, succulents and orchids.
Guests were welcomed with a guided tour of the expansive nursery by Samantha, who shared insights into the diversity and care of the collection. The highlight of the visit was a hands-on demonstration by Monica, who expertly walked members through the process of repotting a cymbidium orchid—answering the ever-popular question along the way. (For those taking notes: the best time to repot a cymbidium is spring, after flowering.)
Adding to the experience, Collectors Corner generously raffled off the freshly repotted orchids, and all attendees enjoyed a 10% discount on purchases made during the visit.
