Growing Together: Say hello to the new EWHA Ballarat Branch

Photo of Polly Musgrove

Due to popular demand and a generous volunteer, EWHA has now established a branch in Ballarat. Polly Musgrove (pictured above) has kindly offered her time and energy to form a group of like-minded women to serve those in the Western District of Victoria.

She has joined our committee and will be responsible for organising events in the Ballarat region.

Please spread the word among your friends and colleagues in the Western District!

I have long felt that EWHA was something we needed here in the Western District of Victoria, hopefully building on initial networking meetings to some interesting and diverse events involving speakers and excursions.

I think I am well placed to do this, as I am fortunate enough to work as a Horticultural Trainer at Fed Uni TAFE in Ballarat, and have many female students who have graduated and are now working within Horticulture.

I also have Horticultural Industry contacts in my role, and would be well placed to network and get the ‘word’ out about a new subcommittee event where women in the industry could meet, talk, learn and exchange experiences, share ideas and contacts- and with women that live in this area, so there is a common ground.

I have also been a Horticulturalist for at least 40 years, in various roles, and have Tertiary qualifications to back up my industry experience. As a woman, I am absolutely delighted to see other women working in the wonderful and diverse horticultural roles that are available to us and have always admired EWHA and the work done to promote this.

If you would like to join Polly’s group or attend her events, you can contact her on her mobile 0400 896 163 or via email at pollyjmusgrove@gmail.com.
